Brooklyn Bridge

I'm fond of walking across the Brooklyn Bridge. The view is stunning and the sensation of the wind and being suspended above the East River is thrilling. When the bridge was built, it was the tallest structure in New York and the first bridge to be lit with electric light. It gave hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers their first view of the city from an elevated vantage.
